Comm. Ave. bridge project in Boston prompts Mass. Pike traffic warning

The construction is a bit of a repeat from last summer’s 20-day replacement of the eastbound side of the bridge and Green Line infrastructure. And the major impacts are condensed into a tight time frame. Crews will work 24 hours a day, and the project uses the Accelerated Bridge Construction techniques to accomplish in two weeks what would conventionally take four to five years and involve significant lane-takings and service disruptions.
