Massachusetts Avenue Bridge Replacement Project over Commonwealth Avenue

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is undertaking the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge Replacement Project over Commonwealth Avenue to reconstruct the existing bridges carrying Massachusetts Avenue over Commonwealth Avenue in Back Bay. The contract was awarded to SPS New England, Inc. Accelerated bridge construction techniques will be used to minimize traffic impacts and complete the project as quickly as possible.
