July 18, 2016 – July 20, 2016 All Day
The 1st U.S.-hosted Interactive Symposium on Ultra High Performance Concrete is co-sponsored by FHWA, Iowa State University, and the University of Connecticut. The Symposium focuses on one of the major breakthroughs in concrete technology in the last two centuries - UHPC. The planning team has come together to create this inaugural symposium to unite people, disciplines, and societies to promote the use of UHPC and learn how to do it better. The symposium will be held at the Des Moines Downtown Marriott, and a highlight of the location is the close proximity to tour UHPC projects that have been incorporated into transportation projects located throughout Iowa.
Symposium topics will include accelerated bridge construction with UHPC. UHPC has many applications for Prefabricated Bridge Elements by helping to address the need to simplify the connection detailing and provide the structural and durability performance needs for connections.
Don’t miss this opportunity for continuing education, networking, and a front row seat to the latest in emerging UHPC concepts and proven UHPC solutions!
Participant online registration is open. Registration Fee is $550 for full participation, $275 for a one-day participant, and $50 for students.
On behalf of the Symposium planning committee, please plan to be in Iowa July 18-20, 2016!
