Featured Presentation: Fast Cast Bridges for Rural Transportation Solutions
Description (under 150 words):
Fast Cast Bridges® are comprised of modular steel forms that are filled with concrete creating a composite structure. The structures are akin to box culverts with span lengths up to 42 feet. Use of the Fast Cast® system enables reduced design, procurement, and construction durations. All bridges have been constructed in less than three days and several have been completed (post footing installation) in one day. The innovative Fast Cast Bridge® has been available since 2019. 35+ bridges have been installed. This presentation will provide details on the Fast Cast® system and will present projects that have been completed in rural areas. Lessons learned will be included.
