Featured Presentation:  Demystifying Integral and Semi-Integral Abutment Bridges (35 minutes)

Description:
Integral abutments can improve the performance and service life of single-span bridges by eliminating deck expansion joints.  They are also cost-effective, requiring fewer piles and no bearings. Integral abutments help reduce initial costs, enhance durability, and provide a more resilient solution to common bridge design challenges. This webinar will cover the design and detailing approaches for integral abutments and semi-integral abutments, which is a subject that is not well covered in the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications.  The construction of integral abutments and semi-integral abutments using Prefabricated Bridge Elements and Systems will be covered as well.
