Featured Presentation:  Georgia DOT's Accelerated Bridge Construction Policy - Success Story (35 minutes)

Description:
This webinar highlights the Georgia Department of Transportation’s distinctive Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) Policy, which prioritizes strategic project selection to reduce overall bridge construction durations to 3–6 months. GDOT’s approach emphasizes comprehensive schedule compression through innovative construction methods tailored to Georgia’s infrastructure needs. Drawing on the official GDOT ABC guidance manual and supporting tools, this presentation will cover policy criteria, selection processes, and practical implementation strategies. It will also provide an update on how the policy is currently working within the department, showcasing its effectiveness in advancing project delivery, minimizing public disruption, and enhancing bridge construction outcomes. Attendees will gain valuable insights into GDOT’s evolving framework for accelerating bridge projects across the state.
