UPDATE: I-24 opened after weekend bridge construction at Germantown Road

The bridge over Germantown Road is 56 years old and has now worn out its welcome. The contracted crew, Bell and Associates Construction, will be using the Accelerated Bridge Construction Method. Deering said this work is necessary and an alternative to years of construction. “The ABC method allows us to basically rebuild two bridges in two weekends, Bell has done a number of these across the state already for the department,” Deering said.
